What We Offer

Our Psychiatric Services

Every patient receives individualized care based on their specific needs. Here are the core services I provide:

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

A thorough 60-minute initial assessment covering your symptoms, history, and goals -- the foundation of effective treatment.

Medication Management

Precise prescribing and ongoing adjustment of psychiatric medications -- finding the right medication at the right dose for your specific condition.

Telepsychiatry Follow-Ups

Online follow-up appointments for established patients when clinically appropriate and where legally permitted -- reducing the need for every visit to be in-person.

Adolescent Psychiatry

Specialized evaluation and treatment for adolescents facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Diagnostic Clarification

When previous diagnoses don't seem right or symptoms overlap, a fresh evaluation can identify what's really going on and redirect treatment effectively.

Family Consultation

Guidance for families navigating a loved one's mental health condition -- understanding the diagnosis, supporting recovery, and preventing caregiver burnout.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q

Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?

No. You can contact us directly via WhatsApp, phone, or email. No referral or prior authorization is needed.
Q

How long is the wait to get an appointment?

Most new patients are seen within 3 to 5 business days. In urgent situations, we do our best to accommodate sooner.
Q

Can I do my first appointment via telepsychiatry?

The first evaluation is always in-person at our Tijuana office. This allows for the most thorough and accurate assessment. Follow-up appointments may be conducted via telepsychiatry for established patients when clinically appropriate and where legally permitted.
Q

Do you accept U.S. health insurance?

We do not accept U.S. or Mexican insurance. However, at $110 for a comprehensive first visit and $95 for follow-ups, our fees are often less than insurance copays for U.S. specialists. We can provide a detailed receipt that some patients have successfully submitted to their insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
Q

What languages do you speak?

All consultations are available in both English and Spanish. Our entire team is bilingual, and all written materials are available in both languages.
Dr. Ernesto Cedillo Ramirez
Board-Certified Psychiatrist

I built this practice around a simple idea: psychiatric care should be thorough, honest, and accessible. After my residency at Hospital Psiquiatrico Fray Bernardino Alvarez -- one of Mexico's leading psychiatric institutions -- I established a private practice in Tijuana specifically to serve patients who need quality care without the barriers of long waits, high costs, and rushed appointments. Whether you live in Tijuana or San Diego, you deserve a psychiatrist who listens, explains, and partners with you for the long term.
